TRYOUTS WERE AHHHHHHMAZING! :)

Cannot wait to get started on season # 9!

WELCOME to ALL of our returning athletes and so many new athletes! I will work very hard on your names to have them learned by next week!?! :) With so many new cheerleaders and dancers, please be patient with me!

Our teams are set and everything begins on Monday! YAAY! :)

Open Gym in Raleigh…Monday-Thursday, 4-7

Open Gym in Mebane…Monday-Thursday, 4-6

Athletes: please log 3 hours per week of Open Gym! Progressions are incredible during the summer at Elite!

Update on Miss Jennifer…She had a total hysterectomy today and a bowel resection. She is in room 7074 at Rex and will be there until at least Tuesday or Wednesday. The surgery was somewhat complicated and she cannot eat for at least the first 48 hours. Ugh…she’s already hungry! Her first question when we saw her tonight was, “How were tryouts and who threw what?” Between the pain button presses, we filled her in on as much as we could. She cannot wait to see everyone again and misses you all very much. She sends her love to all!

Jennifer is moving on this coming Friday, May 14th. She has not packed and has to be out of her apartment because it is already rented. Her new place is BEAUTIFUL! She had planned to pack last week and this week and since her illness at Virginia Beach…well, nothing has been done. If anyone has a free hour or two this week to help pack, your help would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Susan McKeown, Sherry Ringer, Lisa Smith or Michele, if you would be able to help! :)

Update on Taylor McKeown: She had surgery yesterday and everything went better than expected. She did not have any work done on her meniscus and her healing time has been cut in half! YAAY! She is at home. Today and tomorrow should be the worst with her pain level, but she should start the road to recovery on Monday. We all miss you, Taylor and cannot wait to see you in the gym doing “your thing!” WE LOVE YOU! :) Remember, Pain is temporary…right? ;)

A BIG HUGE THANK YOU to LISA SMITH and TINA MELLOR for helping me with the busiest week ever with tryouts! Thank you to MARCIA ARCHIBALD, SUSAN McKEOWN, DAWN JUEHRS, SHERRY RINGER and EVERYONE for pitching in everywhere. We could NOT have done it without you. You are the BEST! I was very much at peace knowing that you all had Raleigh covered in  my absences in Mebane and at the hospital. I love you all bunches!

Happy Mother’s Day to ALL of our Elite mothers! Enjoy your special day tomorrow. You are all very special and loved by us  more than you know!

See you all on Monday!

Michele

P.S. There will be a parents’ meeting at the end of each practice during our summer schedule, beginning on Monday. :)

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES…

What an AMAZING weekend at Jamfest Nationals in Richmond: 11 1st places, 3 2nd places and 1 4th place, 2 Grand Champions (Emeralds and Diamonds), 2 Most Entertaining (Lightning and Ice) and Most Spirited Fans! Congratulations to all of our incredible athletes!

EACS Juniors and Seniors: You made us very proud. Do you all realize that you only had approximately 16 hours to practice together? You rocked the stage, Junior Mints and Seniors did an outstanding job. Job well done, athletes and coaches! :)

A very special thanks to Mia Fowler for filling in on-deck for an injury on Phoenix! You did an OUTSTANDING job. Nayeli is doing better and should be back 100% soon! Thank you to Megan May for stepping in again in Madison’s absence. She will find out tomorrow, if she will have an appendectomy. Way to go, Megan!

Excellent job, Caroline, Madelyn and the whole EXPLOSION team! Your corrections on Sunday were more than obvious and you ALL did a GREAT job. I love the high fives…keep it up, girls…your day is coming SOON! :)

Max 5…your performance on day 2 is what it is all about…We are all embarking on our journey this week to WORLD CHAMPIONS! Each and every one of you inspired me beyond belief on Saturday night and I cannot wait to see you hit the World’s stage. YOU ALL HAVE MY HEART…FOREVER! I must mention: Taylor with a torn MCL performing like a champ, Julie with the very recent loss of her grandfather, Kayla with a broken hand, Courtney with a back fracture, Chloe and DP. You are AWESOME!

Cody Lanphere gets the award for the sickest athlete to hit the stage. You rocked it, buddy! I knew that you felt sooooo bad, but your performances sure didn’t show it! You were just a little whiter than normal…back to normal SOON! :) Cody, you are a ROCK! Thank you to Alyssa H. for filling in for you on Day 1 for Junior Mints. You are such a great athlete, but more importantly, a great girl!

THANK YOU to all of you for a very special birthday, yesterday! Victoria…I would like to place an order for another birthday cake, just because. It was delicious! Thank you to all of you for my gifts, cards and song. I just feel so blessed to have such a wonderful, caring group of kids and parents around me. You keep me going, no matter what!

I am washing clothes, packing and getting ready to head to Orlando in the morning! :) Our journey together, Max 5 is what it is all about. The main goal this week is to do our BEST and enjoy the ride! :) Sometimes, (many times for me, lately) we get buried under the “muck” and need to always remember; ENJOY THE RIDE and LIVE LIFE WITH NO REGRETS! :) This is said for ALL of us in the ELITE FAMILY!

I love you all dearly,

Michele

VENOM, DIAMONDS and MAX 5…

Venom, your performance was GREAT today. You are definitely a force to be reckoned with. Can’t wait for 2 more titles at Jamfest and US FINALS! You all ROCK! :) Carlee, your tuck looks GREAT!

Diamonds, what to say…WOW! Way to cover a teammate and have an OUTSTANDING practice. By the way, Tay-Cow…GREAT NEWS! You are AWESOME and we all love you! Mariah, you are a CHAMPION! Your stunt group and you nailed what had to be done in NO TIME! ELITE ATHLETES… :)

Max 5…Jamfest, World’s and US FINALS…WATCH OUT! You all are AMAZING! You kept going when it was getting tough and YOU DID IT! Your coaches and owners of Elite are SO PROUD OF YOU ALL! :) What is so inspiring to me is the way you cover each other no matter what. That’s what team means and you all surely exemplify the definition.

We know what it’s like to face a wall and figure out how to climb it,  go around it, under it or just simply bust through it! You do, too! I like the busting through it way, personally! ;) YES, YOU ARE OUR WORLD’S TEAM! Embrace it and enjoy the ride because you all possess what it takes!

Ice your hand, Kayla…Ice your knee, Taylor! See you tomorrow for EACS!

I love each and everyone of you so much,

Michele
