Elite Raleigh will RE-OPEN tomorrow, February 3rd at 11am. ALL practices on normal schedule.
Elite Mebane will RE-OPEN on Thursday, February 4th, if tomorrow is sunny and in the 50’s!
Many are stir crazy and are experiencing cabin fever, including our staff…We cannot wait to see everyone!

Due to the inclement weather and schools’ closings, Elite will be closed on Tuesday, February 2nd. Our intention is to re-open as normal in Mebane and Raleigh on Wednesday, February 3rd!
Hang in there, athletes as we are anxious to get back at it, too!

Due to Alamance/Burlington and Wake Counties Schools’ closings…Elite will be closed in Mebane and Raleigh on Monday, February 1, 2010!
While we know every athlete is stir crazy (and parents too!), we will re-open on Tuesday, February 2nd at normal times…weather permitting! Mebane will open at 2pm and Raleigh will open at 11am.
We have not been advised for a make-up date for Jamfest and will let you know as soon as we hear. February is a packed month with many activities, incuding Max 5 Dance Camp, Wake County Competition, EACS and King of the Jungle, etc…
The February newsletter will be distributed starting on Wednesday this week…it is full of important information. We need ALL Elite families to bring in their aluminum drink cans, soup cans and fruit cans…any type of aluminum for one of our many World’s fundraisers! Please wash them out. There are cans available for deposit at both gyms!
Athletes should continue to stretch to stay in shape for our practices on Tuesday! Don’t get lazy by the fire and on the couch…your coaches will be watching for those that bounce back in!

ATTENTION ELITE FAMILY:
Due to the beautiful, but dangerous snow/sleet/freezing rain conditions…Elite Cheer and Dance, Inc. will NOT be attending the Slam Jam on Saturday, January 30th.
The MAX 5 WORLDS DANCE CAMP is rescheduled from Sunday, January 31st to Sunday, February 7th, 1:00-
4:00! This should give
everyone time to get to their
Super Bowl Parties!
Enjoy this special time with your families and check the website for possible cancellations on Monday!

One of our family members, Vera Lane (Vanessa’s mom) is in the hospital at Wake Medical Center…room 6C07. She contracted MRSA last week and surgery was performed on Friday on her thigh. They went back in again on Saturday to ensure that the infection had not spread to her muscle and thankfully, it had not. She will be facing plastic surgery in the near future. She may possibly be discharged tomorrow, but will have to be seen every 2-3 days to have her wound vac changed.
Please keep the Lane family in your prayers as they are in ours. We will have a sign-up sheet at the front desk for those of you who would like to help with food and dinners, etc… for the next few weeks.
We love you, Lanes! Vera, please hurry and get well. We need to see your smiling face SOON!

Thank you to everyone who donated food…We were able to provide a very BIG dinner for 8 families with more than ALL of the trimmings! There was a whole lot of food donated that will be eaten tomorrow and for days to come. THANK YOU!

ELITE’S ROAD TO WORLD’S
The first World’s Competition was held in 2005.
Our first goal was to receive a World’s bid. We received 2 At-Large bids at CanAm in 2008 for Poizon and Max 5 in our 6th season. Max 5 competed and
placed 16th out of 22 teams. Our second goal was to receive a partial paid
bid and make it to Day 2. In 2009, we received an At-Large bid for Poizon at Americheer and 2 Partial Paid Bids for Diamonds and Max 5 at USA in our 7th season. Max 5 passed the bid down to the 3rd place team due to NO
crossovers at World’s. Diamonds competed, making it to FINALS on Day 2 and finished 16th out of 43 teams! Our next goal was to receive a full-paid bid! Now, we have received a full-paid bid to World’s in only our 8th season. Our
next goal is to place higher (WIN!) in Finals on Day 2!
Our journey to WORLD CHAMPIONS continues…

I was so blown away with your practice last night! You all know why. You are amazing athletes and together, you can accomplish ANYTHING!
GREAT JOB, EVERYONE! I am so proud of ALL of you!
Congratulations to Kaitlin Littell for landing her Standing TT Tuck, Scott for his standing Tuck, Taelor Chrisco for her RO BHS X 4 and standing BHS X 3, Victoria Livingston for her ROBHS Tuck, etc… There were many exciting things that came out of practice last night!
